About the Project

Door County Boats came to HeiPro Digital after purchasing part of a long-time local Boat Tour and Boat Rental Business in Door County, Wisconsin. The business was split into two individual businesses when Thor bought the Boat Rental side. With a new business, he needed a new name, new branding, and website. He needed to make a new name for himself while still retaining what established equity he had in the area as the premier boat rental company.

  • The Problem

    There were two main challenges for this project. The first was keeping his previous and current audience engaged with the new name and brand even though nothing else was changing — the same great team, equipment, locations, and services. 

    The second was to create a better user experience that solved two major booking problems and bottlenecks. Door County Boating already had a booking software they were happy with and their customers were familiar with. Our goal was to make the path to the right booking location AND ensuring booking readiness super streamlined.

  • Our Solution

    With multiple locations offering different rental types and experiences, it was important to create clear calls to actions that reduced any misunderstandings and led users to the correct booking location. 

    We created individual location pages showcasing what was available at each location and prompted the website visitors to do a final check for rental readiness (like having a boater safety license or prompting them to take the course BEFORE their rental window).
