You’ve heard of Dubsado, right?

No, well, you’re missing out!! Let me tell you what it is and why we’re obsessed. If you’re a service provider you probably need to check out this system for managing your life… well, okay, managing your business.

What is Dubsado?

Dubsado is an awesome client management system (CMS) where we can manage leads, clients, invoices, payments, proposals, contracts, projects and project workflows, questionnaires, emails, and SO. MUCH. MORE.

Let me be clear though… Dubsado does not do mass emails or email marketing for us and Dubsado is not our project management tool where we keep track of tasks and project timelines.

Why we use Dubsado and why we’re obsessed

  1. Workflows

    First, what is a workflow? A workflow is an automated system that you can attach to a project so that when certain things happen, the workflow is triggered which makes other things happen. For example, when a contract is signed, we can trigger the workflow to remind me to send a handwritten thank-you note to the client. Simple, right?

    Well, here’s why we love it: our workflows are built out so that they make our client experience THAT MUCH BETTER because we have a process and system in place. Our clients are all delivered the same amazing experience because we have email templates and WORKFLOWS set up for each project so that it not only makes our lives easier but they’re blown away by the cadence of our process. Not to mention, the on-brand buttons to their proposal, invoice, and questionnaires right within the email we send them looks pretty BA (aka professional).

  2. Integrations
    Okay, Dubsado has it going on… and I’m only mentioning the integrations that we use.

    1. It connects with our Quickbooks (our accounting software), so our Bookkeeper is happy!

    2. It integrates with our website! We have a “Client Portal” on our website so that clients can go to our website and login to see their invoices, questionnaires, and so much more. We can also embed a lead form on the contact page of our website so that when people reach out to us, their information automatically goes into Dubsado as a lead to follow up with!

    3. It integrates with Zapier… which allows new leads into Dubsado to get automatically added to our email list, which is on Flodesk.

    4. It integrates with my Gmail account including my calendar and my email. Emails can be sent straight from Dubsado and I can see my calendar at a glance on my dashboard.

  3. Dashboard
    I love the dashboard. Specifically, I love seeing where we are at with revenue generation every time I open up Dubsado in relation to my goal for the month or the year and how much we have in open invoices (aka accounts receivable). The dashboard also reminds me of the task I have on my list and shows a summary of my calendar.

I’ve only scratched the surface of this powerful tool and I know that we’re only using a fraction of what we could do with it. Some things that we don’t use, but it’s capable of: scheduling appointments, in-depth reporting, tracking expenses, the list goes on.
